Matías Recalt, who was born in 2001 in the town of Ingeniero Maschwitz in Buenos Aires province of Argentina, managed to attract attention in a short time by stepping onto the screens at the age of seventeen. Recalt, who shaped his career in the television world at a very young age, reached a wide audience in 2019 with his role as Gerónimo in Argentina's popular soap opera Argentina, tierra de amor y venganza. In the same year, he had the opportunity to prove himself in different genres by taking part in the production of Apache: La Vida de Carlos Tevez and Ciegos, which tells the life of Carlos Tevez. The biggest breaking point in Recalt's career was 2023's Brotherhood of Snow. This Spanish Netflix movie, directed by J. A. Bayona, was about the incredible struggle for survival of the survivors of the Uruguayan plane that crashed in the Andes Mountains in 1972. Recalt played Roberto Canessa, one of the heroes of a true survival story. The young actor, who gave an impressive performance despite the difficult shooting conditions, began to be recognized in the international arena thanks to this role. With the film attracting great attention around the world, Recalt published Brotherhood of Snow: Who Were Those on the Mountain?, released in 2024. He personally represented Roberto Canessa in his documentary. Recalt, who played Javier Gutiérrez in the TV series Planners in 2023 and Bruno Meller Garay in the movie Kapan in 2025, created a very extensive filmography in his early twenties. Recalt, who managed to have a say in major productions despite his young age, stands out as one of the promising names of Argentine cinema and television.
