Seattle-born screenwriter Steven Rogers has firmly established himself among Hollywood's most successful romantic drama writers. Throughout his career, he has written a wide range of works, ranging from light romantic comedies to deeply emotional stories. Rogers made a name for himself with two important productions in 1998: Waves of Omut, in which Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks met again on the big screen, and Shoulder to Shoulder, starring Drew Barrymore and David Arquette. Both films reflected the romantic cinema of the period and demonstrated Rogers' narrative talent. He continued this streak with The Enchanted Couple in 2001. The most popular work of the screenwriter was 2007's Not: I Love You. This emotional drama, starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler, reached millions of viewers around the world and permanently etched Rogers' name in cinema history. In 2015, he strengthened his expertise in romantic dramas with Happy New Year. Rogers' most daring and controversial screenplay was I, Tonya, which was released in 2017. This biopic about the life of controversial figure skater Tonya Harding received critical acclaim and high marks from critics for its strong performances from Margot Robbie and Allison Janney. In 2022, he returned to the screen with the TV series project Mike. Rogers' career is a reflection of his ability to honestly convey human relationships and spiritual journeys.
