Some emotions grow inside us without being able to fully name them. A look, a tone of voice, sunlight filtering through the window at the same time... This film, which pursues that fragile moment masterfully crafted by Japanese cinema, tells the story of a young man searching for his own voice in the uncertainty of his university years. Our main character is an introvert but observant young man who has difficulty expressing his feelings. Two people whose paths cross with an unexpected encounter in the corridors of university life are moving towards each other very slowly and very cautiously. This caution is one of the film's greatest strengths; The weight of everything left unsaid can be felt on the screen. Director Meikyō Akiko bases her narrative on small, almost whisper-level moments rather than big dramatic explosions. The tension between the two characters is built by meticulously maintaining a realistic distance rather than resorting to cliché romantic formulas. Although this approach slows down the rhythm from time to time, the real magic that draws the audience into the story is hidden in this silence. Hagiwara Riku and Kawai Yumi's performances are believable enough to carry the inner world of the characters into dialogue-free moments. The camera uses the daily texture of Tokyo and the sky of an ordinary day as if it were an inner voice; The poetic tone of the title is also ingrained in the visual language. This is a movie about not being able to take a step into love rather than love itself, and about that precious and painful time before saying "I love". It's like a carefully written letter for those who don't like emotional rush and who know how to breathe in the cinema.
