The survival instinct is man's most primitive reflex. When you turn it into a part of a game, both an existential tension and a harsh reality emerge. Directed by John Lechago, this production takes shape precisely against this dark backdrop; it examines not the victims but the game itself. The film packs a remarkably intense atmosphere into its eighty-five-minute runtime, drawing the viewer into an unsettling tension from the very first minutes. The story finds itself in a game of death, albeit unintentionally, by different characters; a game whose rules are unclear, there is no way out, and the cost becomes heavier with every step. The structure, which blends horror with action, highlights the physical struggle for survival from time to time and focuses on the psychological collapse of the characters from time to time. The intersection point of these two genres constitutes one of the most intriguing aspects of the film. The fact that the cast consists of young and relatively little-known actors, especially Deniella Alexis, Kevin Lloyd Reid and Madison Caan, adds that raw energy that budget films carry to the film. Far from the polished aesthetics of major production studios, a more realistic and harsh visual style has been chosen. As a Decider who has worked in such independent horror productions throughout his career, Lechago knows the requirements of the genre, but in this film he tried to make room not only for the horror reflexes, but also for the dynamics between the characters. Perhaps the film's weak point lies in its inability to strike this balance perfectly. The average audience satisfaction indicated by the TMDB score indicates that the production aims to meet certain expectations of the genre without attempting to make big claims. Nevertheless, it contains satisfying moments for viewers who are interested in the death game subgenre and are open to the unpredictability brought by independent productions. As a result, it makes room not for the dazzling productions of the big screen, but for the story of characters who are gasping for breath in dark, narrow spaces, caught between following Decrees and survival. It's not a must-watch for genre fans, but it's a production worth noting.
