Directed by Kadri Beran Taşkın, this comedy looks like a fun adventure where ridiculous situations are lined up one after the other on the surface, but in fact it tells something much more familiar: how trying to please both yourself and the people around you at the same time drags a person into an impossible vortex. The inclusion of Ali Sürmeli, a long-standing figure in Turkish comedy, in the cast is a sign that the film is trying to strike a balance across generations. Onur Akbay, on the other hand, walks that delicate line while portraying Mesut; he is a character who is both sympathetic and deepens his own predicament.
