On that vague border between sleep and wakefulness, films that invite their audience to question how dangerous and at the same time how fragile a space the human mind is come very Decently. Christopher Nolan's 2010 masterpiece works like a thought experiment set right on that threshold; it both raises your pulse as an action movie and keeps its place in your mind for hours after watching it. Leonardo DiCaprio portrays a character burdened by the weight of his past, carrying a complex inner world. His specialty is something much deeper and much more dangerous than ordinary theft; stealing valuable things from the most sheltered rooms of the subconscious by infiltrating the dreams of others. Even this idea itself is creepy in itself, because Nolan frames the dream not only as a visual feast, but as the last refuge of identity and memory. The film challenges its audience with its layered structure, but it never does so in a daunting way. With each new layer opened, you feel the ground beneath your feet shift a little more. The perception of time is becoming flexible, spaces are becoming malleable, and the question of which moment is real and which is imaginary is becoming increasingly serious. The team of powerful names like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, and Elliot Page makes this complex universe both believable and captivating. Nolan's screenplay stands out for the balance it strikes between popular cinema and intellectual curiosity. Of course, there are scenes of explosions and chases; but beneath these, there is always something deeper. Loss, guilt, longing, and the fear of confronting reality are the true foundations of the film. Action is a tool; the real question is whether one can escape from one's own mind. Hans Zimmer's iconic music is also an integral part of this journey; it gradually raises the blood pressure to such an extent that it becomes almost impossible to get out of your seat in the last half hour. The final scene that awaits you at the end renews your faith in cinema.

When I first saw the trailer for this film, I knew that this would attract a lot of attention. Of course having Leonardo in the lead role helped a lot. From the trailer, I already know some things. Dreams. All about dreams. But what about dreams? Who are the other people? At first, I didn't really understand what was going on. It was all very confusing to me. But as the movie progresses, I start to understand it and I wanted to watch some more and know more what will happen in the end. The...

Whether you watch Inception as a heist movie, a redemption story, or a sci-fi action picture, Christopher Nolan's tour de force of dreams will absolutely work its magic over you. The fact that the film works on so many levels (literally) is an attest not only to the visual queues that make it easy for the audience to follow but to how much in control of all the intricacies its filmmaker had to be.

Is there anyone on earth who doesn't like Christopher Nolan’s films? Inception is one of his masterpieces. It’s a science fiction film released in 2010 and written by undoubtedly one of the greatest directors in Hollywood, Christopher Nolan, the creator of such stunning films as ‘Memento’, ‘The dark knight’, Prestige’ and ‘Interstellar’. the cast is impressive: the main roles are played by Leo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Dileep Rao, Cill...

Ariadne: "Why is it so important to dream?" Cobb: "Because, in my dreams we are together." I haven't seen this movie in years, but after re-watching it struck me hard how depressing this was. Putting aside the action sequences and loud music and a complicate plot, there's a beautiful story about a man trying to get back to his children, without it being cheesy. Well if you really break this movie at it's core, it's about two grieving men (Leo and Murphy), both haunted by the past until ...

91/100 A dream within a dream within a dream within a dream. How far down can you go and for how long? Both a thought provoking thrill ride that will warp your brain and an incredible feast for the eyes. Supremely imaginative, it's one of the most elaborately designed, modern day fantasy films of all time. -- DrNostromo.com
