Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
Details
Beneath the surface, a deep-rooted civilization has been existing for centuries. This ancient order established in the depths of the oceans continues to exist, far from humanity's gaze, with its own laws, its own ambitions, and its own conflicts. With this film, Atlantis enters the DC animated universe not merely as a myth, but as a living kingdom with complex political dynamics within itself. Directed by Ethan Spaulding, the production matures the Justice League's team dynamics on the one hand, while on the other it places the origins of the character Arthur Curry and his search for identity in the spotlight. The story of a man trapped between two worlds goes far beyond a mere origin tale. For someone who doesn't know who they are, the greatest test is not gaining power; it is discovering for what values they will use that power. The film does not hesitate to ask this question to the audience. Building on the foundations laid in previous films of the DC Animated Universe, the structure brings familiar faces together with new dangers. From Batman's cold calculation to Cyborg's existential questions, from Wonder Woman's appetite for battle to the moments of relaxation created by Green Lantern's sharp tongue, the team creates a whole without disappearing into the shadow of a single character. Hal Jordan, voiced by Nathan Fillion, makes a particularly significant contribution to maintaining this balance; he enables humor and tension to coexist. The visual language of Atlantis is one of the most striking elements of the film. The color palette in underwater scenes sharply contrasts with that of land-based conflicts, giving the impression that it truly transports the viewer to another world. Despite its short runtime of 72 minutes, the film manages to establish this atmosphere without feeling cramped. Blending the themes of political intrigue, the complexity of family ties and the weight of identity with superhero action, the production keeps its doors wide open to both fans of the series and those who have just stepped into the DC universe. The answer to the question of who the throne belongs to continues to resonate with the audience for a long time.

_"If I had a chance to save my world and meet one of my own race, even for a moment, that would be enough."_ Not sure how I feel about this New 52 era of movies yet. The characters are fun but the designs and story are not the greatest. It feels like a continuation of JL: War but now focused on Aquaman.
