Some relationships are traps; they gradually draw you in, and by the time you realize it, the way out has already been blocked. This thriller and crime film directed by Andy Edwards invites the viewer to an uncomfortable but not so tempting atmosphere by focusing on the dark side of the digital dating culture that surrounds the modern era. Meetings that start on smartphone screens, instant messaging and real intentions hidden behind profile photos are now an integral part of everyday life. This is where the film comes in: it questions how vulnerable and unpredictable situations people can be dragged into by the promises offered by a dating app. The fine line between betrayal, desire, and danger becomes increasingly blurred with each scene. The cast, led by David Wayman and Sian Altman, appears to have established believable chemistry despite the limited budget. Instead of being presented to the audience as sympathetic or antipetic, the characters are drawn in shades of gray, as in real life, which makes it almost impossible to predict who wants what and who will do what to whom. during the 90-minute period, the tension never drops; it feels like the tempo is deliberately kept tight in the film, each scene prepares the ground for the next. The erotic thriller genre has its own unique language: Sexual attraction and danger often intertwine, and desire sometimes becomes a weapon. Edwards tried to keep this formula free from familiar clichés; although the result is not entirely flawless, it has produced a structure that will satisfy enthusiasts of the genre. The tension presented in the film is not solely based on an external threat, but on the characters' own choices and the consequences of those choices. Trapped between crime and passion, this production serves as a reminder of how fragile and precarious human relationships are in the digital age. It makes me think that you will never know exactly who a loved one really is, and this uncertainty continues to reverberate in minds long after the movie ends.
