Heartstopper
Details
Sometimes a glance, a smile, or an accidentally touched hand is enough to open the doors to a whole new world. That ordinary moment that began in the school corridors; a bond that blossomed between two young people and grew without them fully understanding what was happening. Heartstopper demonstrates an extraordinary skill in capturing that very moment, that fragile and magical moment. This Netflix production, adapted from Alice Oseman's beloved comic book, may seem like an ordinary high school romance at first glance. However, the series noticeably transcends the clichés of its genre and delves into a much deeper emotional realm. Charlie and Nick's journey to discover each other masterfully handles not only the anatomy of love, but also the search for identity, how difficult self-acceptance can be, and the courage of being truly visible. Considering each episode lasts approximately thirty minutes, it's truly remarkable how much the series manages to convey. The narrative never feels rushed; on the contrary, it breathes life into every scene. This slowness is not a weakness; on the contrary, it is one of the series' strongest aspects. It gives the audience the opportunity to immerse themselves in the characters' inner worlds; it makes them feel both joy and anxiety alongside them. When considering the entire cast, it becomes apparent that Heartstopper doesn't just tell the stories of two characters. Within an expanding friendship circle, themes such as sexual identity, social oppression, eating disorders, asexuality and trans identity are handled with an extremely sensitive and respectful narrative. While addressing these subjects, the series neither adopts a didactic tone nor presents them as a representative showcase; instead, it skillfully weaves them into the characters' natural lives. The hopeful optimism conveyed throughout the atmosphere places the series in a privileged position among contemporary youth productions. Instead of the bleak realism favored by many similar works, Heartstopper creates a warm and bright world that reminds us that being vulnerable is also a strength. This world may seem naive at times; but precisely because of this, it touches so many things. It rekindles the moment when you felt like yourself for the first time, both for those who lived through that youth and for those who left it behind.

Since the beginning of the show the chemistry between Nick and Charlie was amazing, the looks, their body language, how they develop their friendship and also the little animation details that give the scenes a whimsical touch, all of this it didn´t felt rushed and you get to experi...

> Almost every character has my characteristics, and so when we add up the whole series, **it's exactly me.** That's something **I love.** The moment I realised that the series is very similar to me, this series **became a safe place** for me. I was a little sad that I finished the new season, which I waited for a long time, in one day without getting up from my seat. I wish I could **erase my memory and watch all 2 seasons** from the beginning again today. Some people have started to minimis...
