Tracker
Details
Tracker, brought to life by Justin Hartley's charismatic presence, is a gripping and introspective production that uses the vast geography of the American countryside both as a backdrop and as a character. Based on a man who has turned the wisdom of survival into his profession, finding missing people in places that the law cannot or does not want to reach, this story also masterfully explores the inner world of a self-exiled person. The character Colter Shaw is a much more complex figure than an ordinary bounty hunter. In each episode, we meet him in a new city, in a new case; but the real mystery lies not in the missing persons he is chasing, but in himself. This man, who is running away from confronting his past, his relationship with his family has been torn apart, seems like someone who has lost his own trail while going after others. Although the series structure presents an independent case in each episode, the emotional current flowing from bottom to bottom never breaks; while keeping the viewer busy with a weekly puzzle, it also leaves him alone with deeper questions. i h. This production, written by Winters, cleverly strikes the balance between suspense and drama. Some sections plunge into heart-wrenching darkness; themes such as poverty, family tragedy, and despair are explored in a harsh yet realistic language. However, when Colter's on-the-ground intelligence and survival instincts come into play, the tension becomes almost physical. The viewer has difficulty taking their eyes off the screen because they can never quite predict when they will encounter a trap or a miracle. With its structure spanning three seasons, Tracker doesn't rush its character development. Each season offers enough room to watch Shaw get a little closer to both the outside world and his own past. The side stories, enriched by contributions from names like Fiona Rene and Chris Lee, expand the series' world and make Colter's loneliness more meaningful. Built on a slow-burning plot, this series foregrounds human fragility instead of taking refuge in the noise of violence and action. This journey, sometimes overwhelming and sometimes filled with glimmers of hope, appeals to both fans of crime fiction and those interested in human dramas.

Tracker see's a lone wolf style character, track people who have gone astray. Influences of series like Reacher are evident, with a quiet independent, lone wolf, tough guy, who finds and rescues the misguided, lost and the vulnerable. That said, this series lead character is somewhat less selfless than Reacher, as the tracker extracts a finders fee, upon success. What helps this series is the above average character development. The main character fits the dependable, tough guy stereotype...

This is one of the few American network TV shows we're still watching. It can be hit-or-miss but overall it's pretty good. The lead is a pretty talented actor and does a good job between understated comedy and being an 'action' star type guy. Randy was a great addition to the cast last year, and I read that some of the questionable actors are no longer with the show, which was just fine by me. We're looking forward to Colter Shaw in Season 3.
