Rick and Morty
Details
A warning for those who are sitting in anticipation of an ordinary family comedy: what you will encounter here is a breathtaking symphony of chaos, dancing right in the middle of both an existential depression and a universal absurdity. What appears to be the adventures of a grandfather and his grandchild is actually the surface of something much darker and much more intelligent. Rick has the brightest mind that the human mind can imagine, but this intelligence did not make him happy, on the contrary, it made the world and everyone in it meaningless. Morty, on the other hand, is the exact opposite: ordinary, shy, a young man still trying to find his own voice. The union of these two characters tells not only a funny binary dynamic, but also an intergenerational conflict, a search for belonging and how nihilism gnaws at a person from the inside out. Dec. Inter-universe transitions, time travel, parallel dimensions, and all kinds of strange creatures... These are not mere background elements; they are highly deliberate tools used to cover up the real questions the series poses. What does it mean to be truly free? Is love a bond or a chain? How significant is a single choice in a universe of infinite possibilities? These questions are skillfully woven into each episode; no one is trying to lecture you, but after watching, you find yourself thinking about these questions. This universe created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland has left the "children-oriented" pattern of animation far behind and has opened a space that makes the adult audience laugh, disturb, entertain and hold them to the mirror. The integrity of the fiction developed over the years, the transformations experienced by the characters and the ever-deepening universe construction have taken the series far beyond an episodic entertainment. This journey, which continues without stopping for nine seasons, manages to constantly surprise the audience, because either laughter, or a deep sadness, or both are waiting for you at every corner. Navigating with the smartest man in the galaxy may sound glamorous, but being next to Rick means you can carry a much heavier load than you think.

**Rick and Morty** is one of the only TV Shows in the history of TV which was made for _smart-ass Dumb Science Loving Book-worms_ but ended up as a **mainstream Fan Gatherer**. It's pretty great how a show like this accomplished such greatness among the other Dumb hits. I really wouldn't believe any of my friends getting everything of it cause they always just seem bored when I start mumbling about Space, black-holes and stuff. _Yeah, I really get pretty protective when it comes to Rick and M...

It has that cheap as heck animation that I hate. The "I'm 12, put this on the fridge, mommy" sort of quality animation And I absolutely hate that. Basically, any show with animation worse than Family Guy has to work really hard just to win me over a little. But, it turned out to be the most darkly sarcastic show that I've seen on television. Ever. It has that humor that makes you go: "that's horrible!!!!" at the same time you are laughing yourself to tears.
