KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world!
Details
Who would have thought that a story that begins with death could be this joyful? Isekai, one of the most beloved genres in the Japanese anime world, that is, the theme of "transition to another world", has been processed so much over the years that it has become impossible to get rid of being a cliché anymore. At this very point, KonoSuba takes all the conventions of the genre and laughs them to pieces. The story unfolds as Kazuma, a young man too lazy to even leave his house, is reborn into a fantasy world after an unexpected death. However, this journey does not turn into a glorious heroic saga awaiting him. The goddess he brought with him is useless, the mage in his team is uncontrollable, and the knight is almost useless. While Kazuma's only wish is to live a modest, peaceful life, a new disaster knocks on his door every day. What sets KonoSuba apart from ordinary anime is its use of these disasters not as tragedy but as raw material for pure comedy. The series is not structured to hollow out the isekai genre, but to make it laugh by lovingly poking at it repeatedly. Each character's flaw is so carefully designed that over time, these flaws transform into objects of affection. While the audience gets angry at this useless team, they also realize they have genuine sympathy for them. The visual language is deliberately exaggerated and expressive. The characters' facial expressions, the rhythm of the scenes, and the timing of the dialogues are all flawlessly crafted in service of the comedy. This light novel adaptation by Naki Yoshikazu has not lost its spirit in the transition to animation; on the contrary, it has taken on an even more vibrant form. While the fight against the Demon King continued in the background for three seasons, the real drama lies in these four people's struggle to coexist. In everyday life, finding shelter, taking out food money, cleaning up colleagues' mistakes, all this turns into ordinary human realities in the shadow of epic fantasy. This balance makes the series both entertaining and surprisingly heartfelt. Even for those unfamiliar with comedy anime, KonoSuba opens a warm and welcoming door. For those who are familiar with the genre, each episode serves as a testament to how creatively familiar patterns can be subverted.

Relaxing, positive, likeable characters, doesn't shine in any category but can be funny from time to time and some dialogues are a bit alternative (more direct?) if compared to other animes. In my opinion it's a bit a "slice of life" anime with a fantasy/adventure background, as the main focus seemed to be the interaction between the protagonists. I would have liked it more if it didn't have so many sexual references (if I remember correctly strength and presence varies from episode to episod...
