Young Sheldon
Details
Some people are born in the wrong place. In the wrong city, in the wrong family, in the wrong era. Sheldon Cooper is exactly such a figure; a nine-year-old genius who had to grow up in a small town in Texas in the late 1980s, in a community that loves football more than religion, sanctifying ordinary everyday life. Young Sheldon both entertains and surprises by placing this strange and fascinating misfit at the center of its story. This window into the childhood of Sheldon Cooper, a character well-known to The Big Bang Theory fans, is much more than a run-of-the-mill spin-off or nostalgia exploitation. The series gives the character a whole new depth through Iain Armitage's impressive performance. The Sheldon reflected on the screen is not just a strange boy who says funny lines; he is a real person who wants to be understood, is looking for love, is trying to interpret the world with his own filter. But the story is not just his. The Cooper family is perhaps the most valuable part of the series. The fragile balance between the mother's religious beliefs and the son's scientific worldview, the fatigue and Decrepitude of sharing the father's ordinary life with an extraordinary child, the completely different ways of existence of the brothers... All these relationships feed into a deep family drama that runs beneath the surface of the series. While making you laugh, it also doesn't stop you from asking this: If someone you love can't truly understand you, what does it mean to live under the same roof? The Texas of the 1980s is expertly woven into the backdrop of the series. The cultural fabric, music, television habits, and social patterns of the era feel like stepping into a time capsule. This atmosphere conveys both a nostalgic warmth and humorously criticizes the restrictive norms of that era. Watching a character grow over seven seasons, seeing them both as a child and as they transition into adulthood, creates an unusual emotional depth. Young Sheldon is one of the rare series that manages to balance the lightness of comedy with the weight of drama, connecting generations together on the screen and leaving something inside you after it's over.Dec.

If you've seen the Wonder Years, you can pretty well equate this show with that one in many ways. Of course, in this case, the series is about the younger years of the "funniest" character in another TV show (Big Bang Theory). Sheldon, I dare say, is the one that cracks most people up in the Big Bang Theory. This show taps into his young life as a child genius who lives in his own little world. However, the production team realized early on that they needed to be multi dimensional about this...
