When Taylor Sheridan's pen meets Montana's breathtaking landscapes, the rawest and most contradictory side of the American spirit emerges. Yellowstone, which has been on the screens for five seasons since 2018, has cemented its place as one of the most original and comprehensive works describing the modern Western. The Dutton family views the vast farm they have owned for generations not merely as property, but as an identity. For them, these lands mean history, honor, and existence. However, modern America's ambitions, political games, and land hunger are squeezing this family from every direction. On one side, a father trying to preserve centuries-old traditions and ancestral heritage; on the other side, children forced to come to terms with a changing world. Sheridan masterfully handles this tension, transforming the family drama into a battle for existence. The character John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, forms the backbone of the series. This man, silent yet possessing a destructive power, embodies both authority and tragedy, as well as reflecting a stubborn American archetype. The characters surrounding her are as layered as she is: Beth Dutton, who stands out with her anger and intelligence, gains a power that almost leaps off the screen in the hands of Kelly Reilly. Rip Wheeler, as interpreted by Karim Hauser, embodies the loyalty and vulnerability behind toughness in a unique balance. The series takes its aesthetics as seriously as its content. The images spread across Montana's vast plains and snow-capped mountains physically draw the viewer into that land. But Yellowstone isn't just a visual feast. Heavy themes such as indigenous rights, environmental policies, land ownership, and capitalism flow like a silent deep current beneath the action and family conflicts. One of the most influential examples of the neo-western genre ever produced, this structure reminds its audience of both the open wounds of American history and the desperate connection it has established with the roots of modern man. This series, which disturbs the audience in some scenes, drags the audience into a deep sadness at some moments; It penetrates into it like a slow-burning but difficult-to-extinguish fire.

Legitimately bad writing. All the scenes seem to needlessly end in escalation, hostility or outright violence to the point it's exhausting. There are shows about gangs, drug dealers and hit men with fewer murders per season. This ranch has an implausibly high body count, dozens if not hundreds of people have been murdered here and there's not been anyone looking into it? None of the lazily disposed of bodies get investigated? This one farmer is powerful enough to keep away state and federal ...

**Cheesy and bad writing** “**Spoilers may be inside**” The first episode starts with a socking scene, followed by good acting and beautiful views of Montana. Soon many characters are introduced and their complex dynamics start to shape in. So far so good. By the episode 5-6 onwards the show starts to lose its grip. No consistency in behavior, illogical violence, unnecessary screaming/cursing, followed by some lazy cowboy scene, and this becomes monotonous. The writing is so poor, e.g. ...

Yellowstone, on its rugged surface, presents as yet another myth-making Western -- painted with the broad strokes of horseflesh, sunsets, and men clutching at the tatters of Manifest Destiny. But beneath the sweeping cinematography lies a brutish, strangely compelling fable about legacy, land, and the sheer inertia of inherited power. Kevin Costner, surprisingly, turns in one of his most interesting performances not by radiating moral clarity, as he once did, but by portraying John Dutton as a m...
