For All Mankind
Details
What would happen if history took a different path from a turning point? If the Soviet Union had been the first nation to set foot on the Moon, and this defeat had dragged America into an increasingly heated space race that would have lasted for years? The alternative history fiction that sprouted from this very question evolves into one of the most original works of modern science fiction. Ronald D. This series created by Moore and his team is not a cold narrative based solely on space technology or political competition. On the contrary, it is a profound human drama that uses the infinity of space as a mirror, seeking in this reflection the fears, passions, and contradictions of the world we live in. From the corridors of NASA to the Lunar surface, from the power rooms in Washington to the living rooms of ordinary families, the narrative envelops us on both a macro and micro scale. The structure, which spans a decade each season, gives the series a completely different breathing rhythm. In this journey starting from the 1970s and extending to the present and beyond, we watch how the characters have changed over the years, how ideals have eroded or sometimes become stronger. Astronauts are not heroes here; they are human beings—individuals who make mistakes, get tired, love, and lose. This human dimension transforms the cold allure of the science fiction framework into something warm and real. The real significance of the series lies in what it does with its alternative history fiction. The parallel universe he has created questions not only how the space race can develop, but also how gender equality, racial politics, international balances of power and technological progress can follow a different course. Every moment feels like a world that is both familiar and strangely unfamiliar. The strong cast, led by Toby Kebbell and Mireille Enos, constructs believable and compelling characters within this complex world. The visual style is bold, the music selections are nostalgic but never pretentious. In this universe, where the winner of the space race makes history and the losers change the course of history, what awaits the viewer is not only science fiction; it is an honest and courageous inquiry into what humanity is and what it can be.

It's just a soap opera with some space suits sprinkled in. Also it's made by Apple so predictably it looks like a Benetton advert. Not my cup of tea!

Includes Spoilers. **Cons:** - The by far biggest problem for me with this series: The writers had the chance to create a fair and equal alternative timeline based on more women in the space race to the moon. What they created is a lazy ripoff from our timeline but just more women in leading position with more space races things and even more capitalism. These women usually earn these positions and we follow them on their paths through the episodes/years but it's just boring fillers. I don...

10/10 I'm finally caught up, and I don't want it to end. Really hoping season 5 isn't the last. It's highly entertaining, and it's beautiful, and I don't just mean the incredible cinematography. Every episode has me on the edge of my seat

I enjoyed the first seasons but it is now unrecognizable. There are now only two original characters left as of season five. That is some short sighted shit. The new characters are one note and so is the writing. It has become a high school soap opera. Done.
