In the bustling streets of Jersey City, it is possible to meet one of the freshest and most genuine heroes of the Marvel universe. Kamala Khan; an ordinary teenage girl with big dreams and an even bigger heart. But what makes it ordinary is actually what makes it extraordinary. Bisha K. This six-part mini-series created by Ali brings a completely different breath to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here, explosions and space rescue operations take a backseat; what comes to the forefront is a young girl's struggle to find her own identity. Kamala is someone who is caught between her American identity and her Pakistani Muslim heritage, Decking out Captain Marvel posters on the walls of her room, writing fanfictions, trying to sneak into cosplay events. The artist who drew this portrait doesn't seem to have any difficulty doing it; because it feels real. The energy that Iman Vellani brings to Kamala is the series' greatest treasure. Every time it appears on screen, it conveys the character's enthusiasm and complexity simultaneously. The cast of family and friends next to her also adds a realistic warmth to this world; Kamala's family, in particular, turns into nuanced and loving people, not clichéd side characters. The series also makes bold choices in terms of its visual language. Blending comic book aesthetics with vibrant colors and creative animation transitions, the production invites the viewer step by step into Kamala's inner world. This world is sometimes exaggerated, but always sincere. Of course, it can be felt that the story, which is trying to fit into six chapters, has faded out at some points; there are moments when the tempo flows unevenly, some lower layers remain on the surface. Nevertheless, these shortcomings cannot overshadow the overall atmosphere of the series. Ms. Marvel is a heartwarming story about a young girl trying to grow up without being crushed by the pressure of superhero mythology, as she discovers both herself and her past. A naive surprise for those longing for such productions that listen to the character's whispers rather than the noise of action.

_Ms. Marvel_ is a great down to Earth origin story that is able to resonate with a large variety of audiences, but when the story delves into the cosmic realm it drowns under the weight of underdeveloped villains and poor writing choices. At first, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed _Ms. Marvel_. The high school setting was really refreshing to see, as we really only have one hero in the MCU that is in that age range. I felt as if Kamala Khan was an extension of the audience, ...

Light and breezy Ms. Marvel brings a new relatable hero to the silver screen. Iman Vellani is such a joy to watch as Kamala Khan. Her performance is deep and emotional. The story is also about family and finding your place in the world. I’m hoping they keep a lot of the character in The Marvels but also evolve the character as well.
